Structural-phase transformations during nitro oxidation of steels and surface properties

چکیده
Structural and phase changes in the surface diffusion layer during gas nitriding of steel were studied, with formation a crystallographic structure nitride for subsequent oxidation water vapor. The conditions forming carbides nitrocarbides simultaneous nitrogen decarburization matrix are determined depending on potential saturating medium. structural-phase states stepwise change at first stage followed by second stage, oxide layer, as well participation mutual processes carbon decarburized from compositions modified phases. nitride-oxide layer’s corrosion properties gradient various have been studied.

Phase Transformations Contributing to the Properties of Modern Steels
The role of phase transformation theory in contributing to the development of innovative steels is assessed, focusing on examples where the relationship is transparent. Virtually all of the major transformations, ranging from those which necessarily involve diffusion, to others where the change in crystal structure is achieved by a deformation, are considered.

Some phase transformations in steels
About 70% of all the steel compositions that are currently used have been developed within the last 10 years. Novel iron alloys are being conceived, manufactured, and marketed with a regularity which has confounded many prophecies. Phase transformation theory has contributed to the successful development of steels. This overview will begin therefore with a discussion of the atomic mechanism by ...
متن کاملMagnetic Properties and Structural Phase Transformations of NiMnGa Alloys
The magnetic properties and structural phase transformations of Heusler alloys Ni2+ Mn1 Ga and Ni2 Mn1+ 2Ga1+ 2 were investigated. It was found that the martensitic transformation temperature increases and the Curie temperature decreases with decreasing Mn concentration in the Ni2+ Mn1 Ga system, but the magnetic properties decrease faster than those do in the Ni2 Mn1+ 2Ga1+ 2 system. It sugges...
